Raina has tried to forget her past, forget the pain, but when she finds herself staring straight into the fury blazing in her ex-boyfriend's eyes, her dark past comes rushing back. Furious with herself for actually having chosen someone like her father, she uses that anger to her advantage and fights for her life...and for her future that she prays will involve the man she can't seem to get out of her head.
Kas is a natural leader, a fierce fighter, the type of man you send in when you need to get the job done. He is a courageous hero who is used to risking his own life to save others, but can he save the one who has captured his heart from her horrific past and the men who are hell-bent on destroying her?
As Kas and Raina try to navigate through the twists and turns of a deviously intelligent human trafficking group, they find solace in each other's arms. Can they infiltrate the trafficker's tight ring, saving the innocent lives from imminent danger before it's too late?

*Disclaimer - Due to sensitive subject matters of abuse, human trafficking and intimate scenes, The Rain Trilogy is intended for readers 18 and older.

My 5* Review:

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

Firstly I feel I should say that this book left me at a loss for words. This review was so hard to write purely because it was SO good. Saving Rain will affect you through both the good and the bad that happens. Saving Rain is an intense read and is not for the feint hearted.

Raina has such a traumatic and horrific childhood. She is unable to forget her father's words and treatment, and then the treatment of her ex-boyfriend too. Because of how she has been treated by her father and her ex-boyfriend Raina lives her life day to day. Raina is determined to make herself a better person and will no longer be a victim, she is strong yet gentle, determined and clever. In her work with the FBI as a translator, she is working alongside Kas and his team; who are trying to bring down huge groups involved in human trafficking and slavery.

Kas is such a gentleman, strong, sensitive, patient and caring. He saves Raina from her ex the night she finishes it with him. Kas takes Raina to the hospital and when the doctor says she can be released as long as there is someone to help her Kas opens his home to her.

The characters are so strong, easy to interact with and they grow and progress more and more as the story unfolds. You can't help but love them and feel every feeling they experience, I am in awe of Raina and her pure determination. I loved her, Kas and Chase especially.

This book was such an emotional rollercoaster ride, one which I could not get off; not that I wanted to! The book will make you want to laugh, scream and cry. It's very well paced and full of suspense and romance. Karen Anne Stewart has handled the sensitive and violent subject matter so sensitively and well

I could feel the emotions that both Raina and Kas were feeling, and the heartbreak was like a sledgehammer to the heart. After reading Saving Rain I had to continue to read the following books in the trilogy, I couldn't leave the Story of Raina and Kas without knowing what happened.

The Rain Trilogy is a truly heartbreaking and awe inspiring story, and Saving Rain is an amazing start to that story. I cannot put into words how much I recommend reading this trilogy.

About the Author:
Karen-Anne Stewart is a new author and has only recently discovered that she is now addicted to writing. Her first novel, Saving Rain, was originally going to be a single novel, but it quickly turned into a trilogy. She fell in love with the characters and had to continue the story. Saving Rain is a new adult contemporary romance meant for readers 18 and older.
She lives in the mountains with her family. She loves to read, hike, and travel when she is not writing. She is a sucker for romance, especially a book with a strong alpha male who has a sensitive side. She also enjoys a good mystery and thrillers.
Her favorite author is James Patterson; he is an amazing writer.
With being a newbie, she is just learning all the ropes, but is loving the wild ride.
She plans to write for as long as her fingers have dexterity.
