My 4* Review-
Disclaimer: I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest opinion as part of The Whispers of The Fallen blog tour.
Issac and Demetre are almost brothers in the sense that they have been best friends since childhood. Demetre’s fate is out of his hands, as his parents made a deal with evil. Issac whoever does get a say in his own fate; he can decide to side with either good or evil. Demetre, Athalas and Nephele are attempting to raise Lucifer, Issac, Devin and Adawnas are fighting for good and trying to stop Lucifer from rising.
Will evil succeed and raise Lucifer? Will Issac be seduced and succumb to evil?
J.D.Netto has created a very dark world in Elysium and Tristar. This story has Shadows, Dragons, Nephilions, Lions and more fascinating creatures. This was a fast paced read; there was never a dull moment in the novel. I was kept interested throughout, with the creative storyline and great characters such as Issac and Demetre. This book is full of intrigue suspense.
In Whispers of the Fallen we are immediately thrown into the world of Tristar and Elysium, where you can actually feel as though you are a part of the story; alongside the characters.
The storyline in this book is well developed and can be complex, there are places where the reader could get lost or confused, but J.D.Netto’s writing style ensures that they isn’t a problem in this book. The pace of the book is both good and bad points. The pace is a bad point in that so much happens that it can be very hard to reflect back to earlier points.
This book will have you questioning your own judgements as to who is good and evil. The characters are well developed and very likable. As you get to know the characters you can feel their internal struggles with their past and their emotions.
About the Author-
J.D.Netto (Jorge de Oliveira Netto) is brazilian-born. Raised in Framingham, MA, J.D.Netto always had an eye for epic fantasy and story-telling. At an early age, he had the habit of locking himself in his room, turning on any soundtrack he could find, and there he would write for hours.
During his senior year in High School, J.D.Netto had an idea that changed his life, 'What if Lucifer had a Diary? What if the Diary was a secret? What if the secret was a reality?' These simple questions led him to write for six consecutive years, researching, perfecting his craft, and creating the world of Elysium. All the promotional visuals of the novel, including the cover, were designed by J.D.Netto, proving that he is not only a writer, but an innovative visual designer.
Author will be giving away four paperback books during the tour. All they have to do is "like" the official facebook page ( facebook.com/thewhispersofthefallen ) and leave a comment.
