Review: Fangirl by Rozlyn Sparks

When blood is food, a jealous master controls your every move, and death comes to anyone you get close to; love is not a luxury you can afford.

Kendra Michaels has tried to follow the rules of her newfound immortal life, but can’t give up on her favorite band, Normal Paradox. She’s followed their success since they were just a small-town band playing coffee shops and local bars. She’s their number one fan and loves everything about them: their music, their lyrics, and especially their lead singer, Marcus Redmond.

He’s the perfect package, with a voice that sizzles and hot body to match. Marcus is the object of all of Kendra’s wildest fantasies, but deep down she knows she can never be Mrs. Rockstar.

For years, she’s kept watch on the band, always careful to keep her distance. Then one night she makes a tragic mistake that puts her directly in Marcus’s path. Literally.

Their encounter leaves the rockstar’s life and the band’s future hanging in the balance and only Kendra can make things right again.

My 4.5* Review-

Disclaimer: I won an ebook copy of Fangirl in a competition, and all views and opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

After fighting her Sire's power for 10 years finally kendra has escaped him, or has she? Now she's constantly running from him, in an attempt to stay out of his grasp. Whilst running she decides to take a look at her old life, more specifically someone from her old life; Marcus.

When she reaches the town she lived in 10 years ago, she is run over by none other than Marcus. To heal her injuries she bites Marcus and is then forced to share her blood to save him, but this has consequences.

To help Marcus get over the bond that Kendra's blood has caused she agrees to go on tour with Marcus and the band. Whilst touring she begins to hear whispered threats from her Sire, and then he appears in her dreams too. Kendra realises that he his tracking her and getting closer to finding her.

Can she leave before he finds her or is he already too close for her to safely leave?

Fangirl is a very quick read, and my review too will be short and sweet, so as not to give too much away. Fangirl is packed with emotion, action, suspense and intrigue. Rozlyn's writing style is easy to get used to and follow. The writing is fluent and smooth, seamless from chapter to chapter and from start to finish.

The plot is good and easy to be drawn into. Kendra and Marcus are both lovable characters and Kendra is faced with some tough decisions surrounding Marcus. I was pulled into Kendra's world and I could feel her emotions as she was experiencing them. There were times where I wanted to be there alongside her to help her.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Fangirl. I would love to read more by Rozlyn Sparks if and when they are available
