~Synopsis~

With explosive suspense and dark sensuality, Revival, book #2 in the Twisted series, is a passionate, riveting tale of power, conflict and dangerous desire, told by Cut Throat Curtis
I was a failure. An orphan. A quitter. A heartbreaker. A screw-up. A criminal. A monster.
The life I was imprisoned in was the life I deserved.

Beep, beep, beep.

Ollie’s death shredded my tenacity, chipped away at my confidence and stole the will to fight out from under me. When the toxic worthlessness swimming through my veins made me reject the only girl I’d ever loved, she took the rest of my life with her.

Beep, beep, beep.

Alone, away from home and emotionally desolate, I was propelled into a life of greed, control and crime when fate played a hand and forced mine into the clutches of Charlie Alexander Tattersell. My vixen. My poison. My villainous addiction.

Beep, beep, beep.

I fought for and against the life that held me captive, but one painful reminder returned to haunt me.
I was the only one who knew the truth.
Skye’s truth. My love. My driving force. My life’s obsession.

Beep, beep, beep.

After enlisting the help of my protégé, Jesse ‘the Gentleman’ Kennedy, the mission began.
I had to find answers, retribution and the spark that would release me from the claws of the abyss and bring me one step closer to the Skillet.

Beep, beep, beep.

With new secrets waiting around every corner, a vicious Charlie waiting to bury me and the haunting memories of every mistake I’d ever made hanging over me, I missed one vital clue.

The key to my revival…

~My 5* Review~

Disclaimer- I received a free ecopy in exchange for nothing more than an honest review. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

OK... So... Revival by Rebecca Sherwin... Firstly this review is late, I should have posted this on the 24th and for that I apologise. Secondly I have tried to write this review several times but I've failed to find the right words. 5 days of thinking and pondering this book and my review, and here I am trying to write my review but I'm waffling again!!

My Review...

When I reached the end of Revival I re-read the ending 4 or 5 times and all I could think was "what the... how the... oh my..." closely followed by "where the hell is book 3?"!!! But hold on I'm getting ahead of myself, lets back up to the start.

Revival is the story of Curtis 'Cut Throat' Mason. In the beginning Curtis is telling us some of the events from Survival(book #1) in his POV, which I found intriguing and enlightening. But then Revival evolves into something more; more dangerous, more dark and much more twisted!!

We join Curtis as he lives his life and what a life it  is! Curtis is one very dark, dangerous, secretive and screwed up man. His life has been less than easy, but I do wonder if some of it could have been avoided by making a different choice, but that wouldn't have been as interesting now would it?!

Curtis was a fighter; but he's stopped doing that now. Since the death of Ollie and since he pushed Skye away (both in book 1), Curtis has begun trying to fight his own demons, and trying to piece together the mystery of Ollie.

Revival does make references back to things that have happened in Survival(book #1), so I strongly advise reading that first. Revival brings together old characters and some new ones too; like Jesse and Charlie.

Jesse 'The Gentleman' Kennedy is another one of Rebecca's smoking hot fighters *drools* Curtis takes an interest in Jesse when he sees him fighting and the two become friends.
Charlie on the other hand is someone that approaches Curtis and gives him a 'job'. I personally don't like Charlie because she's a bitch, and I mean a thoroughbred bitch! She's manipulative, scheming and selfish. She does add a bit of spice though!

I love everything about this book. The way its written, the emotion it holds within. The descriptions are spot on too, they set the scene and allow for the reader to imagine everything as though there in the book alongside the characters. The characters feel more like friends, I felt as though I'd know them forever and when I finished the book it felt like I was saying goodbye.

Rebecca doesn't give anything away. I had no idea what to expect next, the twists and turns are so good. And the ending... Oh My... I was stunned. I still am. My only response was What the...? How the...? REALLY? My tiny little mind was officially blown.

I was captivated and engrossed by Rebecca's words. I was wrapped up in a blanket of Curtis' and my own emotions. I wanted nothing more than to reach in and hug Curtis; except maybe getting my hands on book 3! *stares at Miss Sherwin* ;)

Honestly this series is captivating and mind blowing. If you haven't started reading it you really should.

Another fabulous installment in a great series from a fab author. I shall eagerly await book 3. A whopping 5* from me. :)
